What you need

  • A Mac with Apple Silicon
  • Git (Xcode Command Line Tools or Homebrew)

Good to know

  • Intel Macs are not supported: the UI toolkit’s GPU dependencies have no Intel Mac builds.
  • The build is not signed or notarized yet, which is why Gatekeeper blocks the first launch.
  • Optional: brew install git-lfs for LFS repositories, and brew install --cask git-credential-manager for one-click GitHub sign-in.
  • macOS has had less testing than Windows. Please report anything that does not work.

What you get

Syntax-highlighted diffs in unified or side-by-side view, staging by file or hunk, branches, merge, rebase, cherry-pick, stash and tags, in-app conflict resolution, Git LFS tools, eleven themes and an extension API. See every feature, or read how Weaver compares with GitHub Desktop.

Also available for Windows and Linux.
