Download Weaver

Version 0.1.0, development preview. These links always fetch the newest build; the release is rebuilt for every change to the main branch.

Before you start

Weaver uses the Git you already have, so install Git first, and Git LFS if your repositories use it. On Windows, Git for Windows includes everything Weaver needs. Linux also needs a Wayland session, a Vulkan 1.3 driver and xdg-desktop-portal; the build is made on Ubuntu 24.04, so older distributions may need to build from source.

The first-run warning

These preview builds are not code-signed yet, so your operating system will warn you the first time you open Weaver. That is expected for now, and signing is planned.

  • Windows: on the SmartScreen prompt choose More info, then Run anyway.
  • macOS: after the first blocked launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.

Verify your download

Every release includes SHA256SUMS.txt. Compare its entry with the hash of the file you downloaded:

# Windows (PowerShell)
Get-FileHash Weaver-windows-x86_64.zip -Algorithm SHA256

# macOS
shasum -a 256 Weaver-macos-aarch64.dmg

# Linux
sha256sum Weaver-linux-x86_64.tar.gz

Build from source

The only build tool you need is Zig 0.17.0. Everything else is pinned and fetched by the build, and the first build takes a couple of minutes.

git clone https://github.com/KeoneSomers/Weaver.git
cd Weaver
zig build run

Per-platform packages and troubleshooting are in the README. Older builds and release notes are on the releases page.
